OEM packaging errors often come from several similar files, chat screenshots and verbal changes existing at the same time. One controlled version, field-by-field review and first-off approval find errors before print and production and preserve a reliable repeat-order baseline.
Create one file name and approval owner
Give each pack size and language a unique identifier, date and status such as draft, review or approved. Name buyer and factory approvers. Chat previews support discussion but do not replace the final source file and signed PDF. Every change creates a new revision rather than overwriting the approved file.
Review fields instead of only appearance
Check brand, product name, net content, language, barcode, contacts, origin, lot and date position, storage, mixing and cautions. Regulatory wording and market claims require buyer or destination-market professional review; the factory cannot replace local compliance judgement. Review every panel and outer carton.
Approve dimensions, material and print conditions
Confirm pouch type, flat dimensions, seals, material structure, color mode, spot colors, print direction, barcode quiet zone and variable-data area. Screen color is not printed color, so use a print proof, swatch or agreed reference where required. Artwork approval does not automatically approve material or finished dimensions.
Check proof and first-off sample
Review the relevant print proof before mass production, then inspect the first production piece for placement, seal, cut, barcode readability and filled-pack appearance. Stop use of a wrong revision and document disposition. Retain first-off photographs and a physical sample with the approved file.
Reconfirm the revision for repeat orders
